Another world record blown away by the wind

The second day of the Olomouc Grand Prix was also marked by great performances. Once again, a world record was set, although this time it could not be officially recognized due to the wind support.

The morning programem featured two-time Paralympic champion Diana Krumina from Latvia, who dominated the discus competition (F55) with a performance of 26.86 meters. Irina Tychshenko, after setting the world record in the discus throw on Thursday, got a victory in the javelin sector (F45) where she reigned supreme with a performance of 19.86 meters.

The audience also witnessed world-class performance from two-time world champion Cassie Mitchell. The American dominated discus in the F51 category, falling just 50 centimeters short of her own world record. Algerian discus thrower Nassima Saifi was even closer to the world's best performance - she was only 23 centimeters short.

Greek Lida Maria Manthopoulou even broke the world record in the 100-meter run, but unallowable wind support prevented it from being officially recognized.

And the home team celebrated another gold medal thanks to Pavlina Absolonova. She dominated the 1500 meters in a time of just under five minutes, and even attacked her personal best, which is only half a second behind.
