Technical

TRAININGS

Training and warm up will be possible at the stadium, indoors hall, gym and throwing area freely on the non-competition days. Trainings will be organized in the morning between 9:00-12:00 and in the afternoon between 14:00-18:00. We ask for mutual respect.

ATHLETE'S BIBS

Each athlete will receive four (4) bibs. The bibs, along with safety pins, will be distributed at the Technical Information Center (TIC). All bibs must be worn in accordance with World Para Athletics Rules and must not be cut, folded or 14 obscured in any way. Failure to comply with the Rules may result in a disqualification and/or sanction.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT

Official implements - LOC are offering a variety of certified implements. The list of official implements provided by the LOC can be found here.

Personal Implements - Athletes are allowed to submit no more than two (2) personal implements for each event in which they are competing. Implements storage will be in the locked facility at the stadium. The operation of the storage (pick up/drop off) during the whole week will be secured. Personal implements will be permitted provided that:

  • They are readily identifiable and either appear on the World Athletics certified list or meet the World Para Athletics specifications for Para Athletics weights.
  • They have been checked and verified for compliance with World Para Athletics rules.
  • They are made available for use by all other athletes in the same event until the conclusion of the final.

All athletes wishing to use their personal club implements must ensure that they are compliant with the specifications outlined in WPA Rule 37. For 15 reference, below are the examples of the non-compliant club shapes that will not be permitted for use during the competition.

Personal implements must be submitted by 17:00hrs the day before the start of the event to the Implement Check Room in front of the Call Room and will be given back right after the competition. The Storage Areas will be secured during the entire period of the Event.

Equipment Checks - a courtesy pre-check of Throwing Frames, Racing Wheelchairs and Running Frames will be conducted at the Throwing Frame Storage at 11:30am on July 1st, 2026. Throwing Frames must have the athlete’s bib attached to the back. It is the responsibility of the athlete/NPC to ensure their equipment is in the Storage Area on time. Athletes/NPCs may also bring tethers, eye masks, spikes for pre-check.

Spikes - pyramid spikes are only permitted in the sizes: 6mm in all areas and 9mm in the javelin and high jump areas.

CALL ROOM

In the Call Room the Judges will check the following in accordance with the World Para Athletics Call Room Procedures:

  • Competition bibs and accreditation
  • Personal belongings
  • Uniforms
  • Shoe and spikes (shape and size)
  • Eye masks, eye patches and tethers
  • Maximum Allowable Standing Height (MASH) of athletes
  • Racing chairs and running frames

Throwing Frames will be checked at the Throwing Frame Storage tent 60 minutes prior to the first Call Room entry time. After inspection, they will be kept secure and transferred to the competition site by NTOs. Upon completion of the event, they will be returned to the Throwing Frame Storage. 

Electronic devices (e.g., mobile phones, smart watches, cameras, radios, tablets, etc.) are not permitted in the infield. Any items that do not comply with the World Para Athletics Technical and/or Advertising Rules and Regulations will be confiscated by the Call Room Officials. Confiscated items can be collected at the Post Event Control after the event.

All athletes will be required to report to the Call Room according to the scheduled reporting time. The Call Room times are as follows:

  • Track Events - 20min
  • Field Throwing and Jumping Events - 40min
  • Seated Throws - 15min

A detailed Call Room schedule will be published in advance and displayed at the TIC and the Call Room. If an athlete is not present in the Call Room at the relevant time as published in the Call Room Schedule and does not have a justifiable reason as per Rule 5.5, they will be removed from all other events that they are entered into. This means that they will not be competing for the remainder of the competition. Please make sure your athletes are in the Call Room before their Call Room time.

TECHNICAL PROTESTS and APPEAL - all protests must in the first instance be made immediately to the Referee or no later than 30 minutes after the official announcement of the event results. If the final decision of the Referee is not satisfactory, a written appeal must be submitted to the TIC within 30 minutes after the official announcement of the decision made by the Referee and accompanied with the fee of 200 Euro or 5000 CZK.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION CENTER (TIC)

The Technical Information Center (TIC) will be open from 8am to 7pm on competition days and 8am to 6pm on classification days. Upon arrival the Team leader is required to come to the TIC at the stadium to pick up accreditation cards for their team. We kindly ask all team members to have their own accreditation card at all times.

TECHNICAL MEETING

The Technical Meeting will be held at 10:00am on 1 July 2026 (Wednesday) at the stadium. Attendance of each team representative is obligatory. The meeting will be chaired by the World Para Athletics Technical Delegate and conducted in English. Final confirmation will be made at the Technical Meeting. No late entries will be accepted. Withdrawals are only accepted for medical reasons and must be accompanied by a signed Medical Form from the LOC Medical Delegate. No questions will be allowed during the Technical Meeting. If you have any questions before the meeting, please submit them in English via the below form by 12pm (noon) on June 30th, 2026. A summary of all submitted questions and answers will be shared with the Team Leaders before the Technical Meeting.

TIMING AND MEASUREMENT - Official timing and measurement will be provided by Online System. 

MEDAL CEREMONIES

The first three athletes in each individual event (including guide runners) will receive gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. If the event is held “under minus one principle” with only 3 athletes competing, only gold and silver will be awarded. If entries fall below these numbers and are non-viable, the event may still be held as a non-medal event, with no medals awarded. At the Mixed Zone the medalists will receive a note at what time they have to report to the Medal Ceremony Meeting Point (see Appendix 1). The Victory Ceremony schedule will be communicated one day prior to the competition.

        MEDICAL

        The organizers will provide on-site medical emergency care and may provide physiotherapy service for accredited athletes.

          All participating NPCs are responsible for accident and travel insurance of all members of their team delegation in regards to their stay in the Czech Republic and also in regards to the sport activity of the athletes.

            Any costs for extra medical care must by paid by the patient or teams themselves. Therefore, teams are strongly advised to ensure sufficient insurance coverage.

              Medical treatments are available at the nearby city hospital at extra cost.
